Alpha Tau Omega Iota Alpha Chapter at Texas State University
Welcome to Alpha Tau Omega at Texas State University
Alpha Tau Omega fraternity has been an integral part of the Texas State community since our chapter opened its doors over 25 years ago. Our men strive to be leaders in social, philanthropic, and academic endeavors across campus and in the greater community of San Marcos.
ATO was founded in 1865 by three Confederate Civil War cadets. The goal of Alpha Tau Omega was to help unite men of both Northern and Southern descent in peace. ATO is based on Judeo-Christian rather than the Greek principles upon which many other fraternities are founded. Throughout the years, ATO has initiated over 200,000 people around the world. Currently Alpha Tau Omega has over 160 chapters in universities across the United States. For more information on the National Chapter visit ATO Nationals.
